Development + Communications + Artistic Associate

Kev Berry is a New York-based theatre-maker. His work as a playwright has been seen at TinyRhino@Littlefield, 3-Legged Dog, across the harsh North Country of upstate New York, and will be seen at The Tank in early 2016. Kev is the Development + Communications + Artistic Associate at 3-Legged Dog Media + Theater Group//3LD Art + Technology Center. He is a 2016 Sunday Brunch Artist-in-Residence at The Tank.


His plays include Seagulls or the Homogeneous Gays of the Fire Island Pines; Scarecrow Tin Man Lion; The Commercially Unviable Queer Trash Theatre Cycle; Nora Goes 2 Space, Motherfuck*r! a karaoke opera in drag; (i heard) ANNA KARENINA (wanks with a toothbrush); The Charlie Brown Turkey Lurkey Brechtian Queer Thanksgiving Special; 2 Privileged White Women from the Upper West Side Hold a Seance and Discover Lesbianism; Satan's Lovehandles; and Lisa the Little Girl (or the Joads' Long Journey East).


He has worked with DreamCatcher Entertainment NYC; with Plaza Theatrical Productions of Long Island; at the Bushwick Starr, where he worked with Dave Malloy, Ari Stess, Paul Lazar and Christina Masciotti, and Target Margin; with Annie-b Parson and Big Dance Theater; with the Ann Liv Young Dance Company; with 3-Legged Dog; and with The Tank.


Currently, he is developing his play (i heard) ANNA KARENINA (wanks with a toothbrush) as a part of his residency at The Tank with director Emily Moler, assembling the various bits and pieces required to make his cabaret evening, "Kev Berry: Diva Cup" a reality in Fall 2016, and creating a new performance text called Nora Goes 2 Space, Motherfuck*r! a karaoke opera in drag, which will have its premiere in a 12-performance run at 3LD Art + Technology Center in December 2016.


His favorite book is Hanya Yanagihara's "A Little Life" and his drink of choice is a Bulleit and Coke. He has cried too many times to count on the New York City Subway.
